Tout à fait ! Le Pré Marin is a 10-minute walk from the coast. You reach it by crossing the pretty village of Sotteville-sur-mer. Once you’re on the coast, you’ll find yourself facing spectacular staircases (231 steps) carved out of the cliff, leading to a large, unspoilt beach.

Today, descents on the beach are tolerated once again, but you must remain vigilant and stay away from the cliffs (frequent landslides).
At low tide, the walk is magnificent, with your feet in the sand (not the pebbles!).

Exactly! Once on the coast, you’ll find Veules les Roses on your left, about 3 km away (small road, then path along the coast.) The panorama is magnificent! Or by the beach at low tide.

Exactly. Saint Aubin, with its superb beach (the largest on the coast), is on the right of the Sotteville stairs. Following the coastal path and then the small country road, you’ll reach Saint-Aubin 3 km away. The large sandy beach (when the sea retreats) is a delight for children!

For “little errands”, you’ll find a bakery, a restaurant, a bar-brasserie, a small delicatessen and a library all within a 3-minute walk of Le Pré Marin. For “big-ticket” shopping, there’s a Leclerc hypermarket in St Valéry en Caux or an Auchan supermarket in Luneray, a 15-minute drive away.

If you don’t have a car, the easiest way to get around is by bike. There are many routes in the region suitable for 2-wheelers (VéloMaritime, Vélorote du Lin…). We can send you the contact details of our bike rental partners. Then there’s a bus service that runs along the coast from Dieppe to Fécamp, passing through Sotteville several times a day. Finally, if you’re coming with a group, you can ask us to find you a public transport (coach) – we’ve got just what you need!
